Want to start a wonderful family tradition…that’s free?! Well then it’s time to hop in the car, put hot chocolate in your thermos and head out to see some beautiful Christmas lights in Sarasota!
I am always trying to find the best and easiest route to see Christmas lights, so I thought I would help you out by making a route that you can print out and take along for the ride!
This list includes mega light displays where you can get out and walk around, light displays large enough to drive to see and some local homes that just like to deck out for Christmas.
Do you know of a holiday light display that we need to add or a house that is all decked out and needs to be added to this list? Click here!
While we do our best to give you accurate information, please do what you can to double check to make sure these places are still doing Christmas lights. I would hate for you to drive by and the lights be off- but it could happen, so please be understanding!
Download your Sarasota Christmas Lights route and take it along with you as you drive to see the Christmas lights. You can even make it into a game with the kids and mark off the Christmas light displays you see along the way.

1st Stop – Saddle Creek
Saddle Creek directly across from the National Cemetary on Clark Road
2nd Stop – 7909 Osprey Hammock
This is part of a gated community, so you may need to know someone who lives there to make this stop.
Head over to 5580 Hayden Blvd for an amazing light display!
4th Stop – Cedarwood Drive
5th Stop – Colonial Gables
This is a cute neighborhood at the corner of Bee Ridge and Woodmont Drive and many of the houses are lit up for the holidays. This is a great drive through light display.
6th Stop – 2367 Tall Oak Court in Colonial Oaks
7th Stop – 2522 Mapeloft Road
There is a beautiful display of 20 lighted deer. And 2 animated deer drinking from a cascading water feature.
This Christmas light display is amazing! It goes on from November 28th and is open every night until 1AM. There is a tunnel of lights and you may even see a Santa appearance.
Bring a lawn chair and watch the whole 60 minute show from 6:30-10:30PM Friday through Sunday each weekend in December. They do an amazing job syncing the lights – this year it’s to a remix of Metallica and Journey to Star Wars. Definitely a must see!
10th Stop – 3038 Viola Drive
11th Stop – Sunnyside Lane
12th Stop – Regatta Drive (Gulf Gate Estates)
This is another great stop along the route. Go to the very end of Regatta Drive to find a circle where houses are lit up for the holidays.
They usually have a huge display where you can walk around, but this year the scaled back because of all the current events. However, you can still drive by and see an amazing light display.
