Although we love our little paradise here in southwest Florida, there are so many great spots to visit around Florida. We love to do “Florida stay-cations” for long weekends and I have lots of ideas of places for you to visit if you are looking for a fun getaway for your family.
The thing I love about the places we have visited in Florida is that they are almost always kid-friendly. We have two kids and we like to take them with us on adventures, so having family-friendly things to do on our getaways is important to us.
I found some fun ideas for our next trip to the Florida Keys that are totally kid friendly. On your trip, try these family friendly things to do in the Florida Keys.
With Captain Jack, you and your family will have a wonderful charter fishing experience!
What to expect aboard Shake N’ Bait Charters
When you do a Shake N’ Bait Charter fishing trip you will ride on a Cavileer 44 convertible boat. You will need to bring an extra ice chest to take the fish you catch home with you. Shake N’Bait also cleans, filets and bags the fish for you- which is so nice because that is a big task.

There are all kinds of fish that you could catch while out on this charter experience. Depending on the fishing season you could catch fish like dolphin fish, grouper (yumm!!!), red snapper, yellowtail snapper, albacore tuna, king mackeral, and more!
