The Children’s Garden & Art Center

We visited a sweet hidden treasure over the weekend and I am so excited to tell you about it. We went to the Children’s Garden & Art Center in Sarasota and we were so impressed! It is enchanting! You have to check it out!

There is so much to see and so much to do for kids of all ages. I brought my one year old and wasn’t sure if it would be age appropriate, but he had a blast. And of course, our four year old loved it too! Here are a few of the fun things we saw and did during our visit:

Once we checked in, we walked towards the garden and saw this huge rocking chair. The kids thought it was SO cool!

As we started walking through the Children’s Garden we found so many fun things to play with and climb on all surrounded with beautiful flowers and plants. This was “Hobbitville.” The kids had fun playing in the little houses!

This rain forest was my absolute favorite! The bamboo was so pretty and the mist coming from this colorful water system was really unique!

There was the “A-mazing Maze” that we had fun going through. There were plants all around to look at and it was exciting trying to find our way out of it!

The Butterfly Garden was so cute, but we particularly loved it because they had the “Three Little Pigs” houses and Maggie has loved playing this lately, so we played “wolf” and “pigs.”

The Fairy Garden was adorable too!

There was also a playland with a bridge that Charlie loved running across. And the tire play area was a big hit with my kids too. They loved climbing up and down! They also had a big sand area that was fun to dig in.

We also got to attend one of the Children’s Garden and Art Center’s events while we were there! We went to the “Under the Sea Party” and Maggie got to meet Mermaid Marivi. There was a “Fishy Scavenger Hunt,” snacks, crafts, and a story time. It was so much fun! Here are a few of our pictures from the party–

These starfish wands were such a blast! My kids are still running around playing with them. Such a cute idea!

The story time was really cute too with an “Under the Sea” themed book. The kids loved it.

They did such a great job coordinating the party for the kids! We had so much fun! Here is a list of more events coming up! Seriously think about checking them out. We had a blast!

  1. I recently had a post about a Children’s place in my area and talked about how much I would love to travel and take my kids to all these Children’s museums! This would definitely be on my list to check out because this looks like something my kids would absolutely enjoy.

  2. What a fun place to go, when I saw the picture of the big chair I thought it was a different place, I guess more than one garden has a big red chair.

  3. This looks lovely. Very fun and educational, two things you cannot go wrong with! My family loves this type of thing, and I’m so glad!
