Ponce de Leon Park

March 6, 2017 By aligilbert83 1 Comment

We love Punta Gorda! There are such beautiful sights with the water and the palm trees when you drive through, we just love it. There are also some great places to take the kids in Punta Gorda and one of those places is the Ponce de Leon park.

We recently visited the Peace River Wildlife Center which was so much fun and then afterwards we walked to the Ponce de Leon park and let the kids play while we moms talked. These are a few of our pictures from the park:
It’s on this beautiful little beach that is fun if the kids want to play in the sand!
Oh, and also there is this amazing trail that we had so much fun walking. It’s across the street from the park so it’s easy to miss. Be sure to look for it. It’s a really cute boardwalk and it takes you through the mangroves and you can see all kinds of nature and the beauty of the area. We absolutely loved walking it! Here are a few pictures….
Ponce de Leon park is located at 3400 Ponce de Leon Pkwy. in Punta Gorda. Get more information about Ponce de Leon Park here.

Your little ones are so cute! We lived in Florida for a few years and loved all of the beautiful parks. I think my family would enjoy this park. I think the signs pointing out the wildlife are great. So educational and fun at the same time.
