Judd Park in Cape Coral

May 20, 2020 By aligilbert83 Leave a Comment

Southwest Florida is a very big area with so many things to do for families. Depending on where you live eill probably make or break if you visit certain places Because you can live very far from something but still be in the “Southwest Florida” category.

I say all this to say that we happen to be a little ways away from Cape Coral, So we don’t get down there very often, but when we do visit, we love it because it’s so nice there.

We sometimes make the trip to Cape Coral when my grandpa has to visit the Veterans Hospital there. Which, by the way, the veterans hospital in Cape Coral is amazing. So when Charlie is a good boy while we are there he gets to go to the park afterwards.

We visited Judd Park and it was very cute. There was no one there when we went so we had the whole place to ourselves.

As always, I will give you an honest review of what we thought of this park by doing a list of pros and cons…

Things we like about Judd Park in Cape Coral

There was shade from some beautiful trees!

There are beautiful trees surrounding the playground portion of Judd Park that make for good shade in the heat of these hot Florida days. I love shade! Don’t get me wrong, there were some spots that were not shaded, but a lot of it was at the time of day we went (which happened to be late morning).

The playground was a decent size

My son loved all the climbing features and the big slide! I will be honest, I thought the equipment was kind of older and a little worn, but it was still a lot of fun.

There are a lot of picnic areas

The picnic area is all shaded and there are a lot of picnic tables to accommodate.

Plenty of parking in a big lot

I am not really a huge fan of having to park on the street or search for parking. But Judd park has a big parking lot!

Things we didn’t like about Judd Park

The playground equipment was worn.

It could use an updating. Wasn’t our favorite playground but definitely wasn’t the worst. It was still a lot of fun and wasn’t by any means decades old or anything.

Overall, we liked Judd Park. We have been to more updated and prettier parks around Southwest Florida but we still really enjoyed Judd Park. If you are in the neighborhood I would definitely recommend a visit. Here are a few more pictures…
