There are lots of discount days and deals for homeschool families in southwest Florida. I know a lot of families homeschool around here. I thought I would make a list of all the deals and discounts you can get this fall if you are a homeschool family:
Bricks 4 Kidz
Bricks 4 Kidz comes to you! Programs last from 1-3 hours and start at $2.50 per student. Students will use legos in learning and do lots of fun engaging activities. Click here for more information.
Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium
October 6th is “The Geology of Florida” homeschool event for grades 4-5
November 3rd is the “Camouflage in the Natural World” for grades K-1
December 1st is the “Amazing Solar System (Astronomy) for grades 2-3

Edison Ford Winter Estates
Enjoy an education guided tour of the Edison and Ford estates and gardens and museum for $7 per student and $12 per adult. This tour lasts two hours and is for all grade levels. Click here for more information.
There is so much to see at the Shell Factory. There are over 400 animals including alligators, zebras, and more. Student admission is $4 per child and $7 per adult (for every 10 children, one adult is free). Bring your own lunch and eat free at the picnic area of the Nature Park. Homeschool Classes at Children’s Museum of Naples
Homeschool classes happen every Tuesday of the month with age/grade specific classes. The cost is $12 per workshop or $40 for the whole month (general admission is not included in the cost of the workshop). Workshops are:

Dakin Dairy Farms
Learn “where milk comes from” at Dakin Dary Farms. Students can learn lots about the dairy farm life, take a hayride, bottle feed a calf and learn how to make butter! Admission is $10 per student (1 teacher per class is free). Hours for student tours are Monday through Friday at 10AM. Click here for more information.
Jungle Gardens offers a special school rate admission to homeschool groups and Florida public schools. To receive the school group rate, the group must be more than 10 people paying (not a single family), and paying all together with one form of payment when you arrive. The school group rate: $7.99 children & $11.99 adults. There is allowed to be 1 free chaperone for every 10 kids and a free bus driver. Besides the reduced rate, another perk of booking a school group, is that you are all welcome to bring the lunches all together in a labeled bin or cooler and they will have a reserved picnic area for you all to have lunch in the park.
Head over to Mote Marine one day a month for Mote Homeschool Days. Your students and family can enjoy a day of age-appropriate, ocean-themed learning experiences. This is for studens in grades 1st-8th (ages 6-13).

Marie Selby Gardens
Self-guided exploration of the gardens is $7 per student. A guided tour is $10 per student. Two free teachers/adult chaperones per ten students and additional chaperones is $10 each. Click here for more information.
Homeschool groups can choose to reserve a self-guided school tour, which provides access to all venues at The Ringling without a guide, or you can book one of their docent-led school tours focused in the Museum of Art. Your group needs to be at least 10 students. For every 10 students there can be 2 adult chaperones at no charge. Each additional chaperone is $10. You must book 2-6 weeks in advance.
