We celebrated my brother’s 26th birthday by throwing him a little themed party. The theme was “golf” because he loves golf, works at a golf course, and basically his whole life is golf so it seemed appropriate! So here is how we threw the ultimate Golf Party!
My brother’s girlfriend came up with some AWESOME golf related games. They were so much fun. The first game everyone was given a piece of paper with 14 pictures of professional golfers on it and then another paper with names to match to the golfers. I missed all but two, so that just goes to show how different my brother and I must be. I obviously don’t follow too much golf.
The second game we played was my favorite. We got squirt guns from the Dollar Tree and then got ping pong balls (that actually looked like golf balls- bonus!) from Walmart. We stuck golf tees in styrofoam blocks and then put the ping pong balls on each tee. Then we had to squirt water at the ping pong balls to knock them down.
Each styrofoam block had three tees with ping pong balls on each. We put two blocks side by side and then did matches of two people per match. It was super fun. Check out some of our pictures of the game:
The third game we played was a Minute to Win It game. I personally love Minute to Win It games (check out our Minute to Win It game night here). You had to stack three golf balls in 60 seconds. It was actually really hard. No one got it. But it was fun watching everyone try….
I also decorated with a golf centerpiece…
And of course, you can’t have a party without the food….I brought some sweet tea which I labeled “golf tee,” get it?!
And my brother’s girlfriend made these adorable golf cupcakes. Seriously, how cute are these?!
All that was left was singing “Happy Birthday” to the birthday boy 🙂
So this is how we threw a golf themed party. It was so much fun!
