Christmas Tree Lighting Events in Southwest Florida

There are so many fun Christmas and holiday events happening this season in the southwest Florida area, but first we must start with traditional Christmas tree lightings. It is so fun to start the season off with neighbors and friends at a Christmas tree lighting event!

We have the Christmas Tree Lighting events divided by city and county in southwest Florida.

Boca Grande Christmas Walk – CANCELLED

Christmas Tree Lighting events in Englewood

Christmas on Dearborn – Dec. 14th (Cancelled this year)

Christmas Tree Lighting events in Fort Myers

Annual Tree Lighting at Bell Tower – Dec. 6th

Friday, Dec. 6th from 6-8PM at the Center Court at Bell Tower in Fort Myers. Santa will be arriving on a South Trail Fire Department truck near the main entrance.

Christmas in the Park – Dec. 6th

There will be a symphony performance at 5PM, a tree lighting at 6PM, a free movie at 7PM and visits from Santa from 5-7PM. This will take place at Centennial Park (2000 W. First St. in Fort Myers) from 4-10PM on Dec. 6th.

North Fort Myers Tree Lighting Ceremony – Dec. 7th

This is a free community event that will take place at the North Fort Myers Community Park (2000 North Recreation Park Way in North Fort Myers) from 4-8PM.

Christmas Tree Lighting events in Naples

Festival of Lights at Celebration Park – Nov. 30th

Come out for a tree lighting, holiday dance performances, snowball fun, holiday face painting, and more! This is a free event on Nov. 30th from 5-10PM.

Winterlude: Tree Lighting Ceremony and Festival

Featuring the illumination of the largest tree in southwest Florida. There will be face painters, music, dance performances, letters to Santa, and more. This will be located at 9132 Strada Place in Naples on Dec. 4th from 5-7:30PM.

Naples Christmas Walk and Tree Lighting Ceremony – Dec. 6th

5th Avenue South will be hosting the 46th annual Christmas Walk and Tree Lighting Ceremony. There will be live music, live art performances, festive food, and activities for all ages. This will take place from 6-10PM.

Christmas Tree Lighting events in North Port

Tree Lighting Ceremony – Dec. 1st (Virtual)

You can watch online or attend the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the City Center Front Green (4970 City Hall Blvd.) Seating opens at 5:30PM and the ceremony begins at 6PM. Admission and parking are free.

Christmas Tree Lighting events in Port Charlotte

Hometown Community Christmas Tree Lighting & Marketplace – Dec. 13th

The Charlotte County Chamber is hosting their Hometown Community Christmas with a Christmas Marketplace and their 3rd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting. There will be food trucks, craft vendors and caroling. The event will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the tree lighting at dusk. Admission is free.

Christmas Tree Lighting events in Punta Gorda

Lighting of the Village at Fisherman’s Village – Nov. 16th – cancelled

Festival of the Lights Holiday Showcase at Fisherman’s Village – Nov. 27 – Dec. 31st

There is no special tree lighting event this year due to all of the circumstances surrounding the year, but Fisherman’s village will have amazing Christmas lights to see all season long. If you are looking for a great place to see Christmas lights in Punta Gorda, this is it!

Christmas Tree Lighting events in Sarasota

Light up Siesta Key – Nov. 28th

Siesta Key will be lit up on Nov. 28th beginning at 6PM. There will be holiday gift bags for the first 200 children. The tree lighting will be at the gazebo in Siesta Key Village.

Sarasota Christmas Tree Lighting Event – December 1st

The annual downtown Sarasota Christmas tree lighting is on this year. Less than 75 people are allowed at any time for social distancing. This will take place at Five Points Park in downtown Sarasota.

42nd Annual Holiday Night of Lights on St. Armand’s Circle – Dec. 4th

The beautiful Christmas tree lighting will be taking place and St. Armand’s will be all lit up and there will be pictures with Santa available.
