We had the opportunity to visit the “A Day out with Thomas” event at the Florida Railroad Museum in Parrish, Florida and we loved it! This event had a lot more involved then we expected. It was jam-packed with lots of activities and fun! The Florida Railroad Museum is still hosting “A Day out with Thomas: The Friendship Tour” on March 17th, 18th, and 19th so there is still time to check it out!
AND the railroad is offering $2 off this weekend (March 17th, 18th, and 19th) with the Promo Code – FRIDAY.
They recommend you get there an hour before your train ride so you have plenty of time to walk around and check out the attractions, grab a bite to eat, and line up to board Thomas the Engine! When we arrived, we walked around the event and found the face painting tent. Maggie had to have a butterfly on her cheek!
Next we went to the bounce houses so the kids could jump and play!
We also went to the game tents. They had sand boxes and other games. It was very fun for the kids!
Now it was time to board Thomas the Engine for our train ride. It was so much fun AND our car even had air conditioning. Let me just warn you if you go next weekend that it was hot. Not sure what the forecast was but check it and dress accordingly. The train ride was 20-25 minutes long and it was super cute. The kids loved it!
We saw farms and cows on our ride. We also saw a lot of orange trees which sparked conversation about where orange juice came from. It was a fun, educational ride for our toddlers. We had a lot of fun!
Overall we had a lot of fun. If your kids love Thomas the Engine, they will love this event! Get more information about Thomas and Friends here.
