We spent the whole weekend celebrating my parent’s 60th birthday. They both turned 60 this year, so that was nice because we were able to combine their celebration. We decided that we would spend the weekend taking them down memory lane and one of the things we used to do was go boating. So, we decided to rent a boat from the best boat rental place in Englewood, Allure Boat Rentals.
We had a blast! We rented a pontoon boat for the entire day, which was an 8 hour rental. We jumped on the boat at 10:30AM and dropped it off at 6:30PM.
I think the thing I loved most about renting from Allure was the fact that I didn’t have to worry about anything! We didn’t have to worry about cleaning it, maintenance, or anything that boat owners worry about. We just jumped on, had a wonderful day, and jumped off. It was great!

So, here are a few…okay, a lot of pictures from our fun day at sea…
My dad got to be our captain….How cute is my little man in his little life jacket?!
We got the best spot on the sandbar down at Boca Grande. We had this view all day of the Gasperilla Island bridge. This is a picture of our pontoon boat. It seated 12 people and was super spacious. We absolutely loved it.
I highly suggest renting from Allure Boat Rentals. They are super reasonable and they have a lot of options for rentals. They don’t just do pontoon boats, but they also rent out Mako 212 Off Shore boats, bicycles, ocean kayaks and SUP’s, and jet ski’s.
Also, the staff is amazing! They are super helpful and nice. We had an overall great experience!
Head over and follow them on Facebook. Call (941) 475-BOAT to book your rental today!
Disclosure: Allure Boat Rentals gave me and my family a discounted price on our rental in exchange for my honest review on their company. As always, my opinions are 100% my own.
I love this type of outing with my family. I’m all about the food, so I would be in heaven making great food for a trip like this!

A day on the water is always a great day! What a fun way to celebrate your parents’ 60th birthdays! Will remember for next time I’m in the Manatee/Sarasota area! (I’m a FL native, dying to get my hubs to Sarasota’s Siesta Key Beach).

Oh really?! That’s so funny that you are from here! Very cool!
I am really wishing I was there in this post! LOVE the water and boats…and would LOVE to be a part of this. Looks so fun and summery and fab!
What a fun day! If I am ever in that area, I will have to check Allure Boat Rentals out.
It looks like you had such a great time! I would love to go out on a ride.
I love going out on the boat! Such a great time to soak in some sunshine.
Your pictures give me that “sand in my shoes” feeling. My Dad went to high school in Key West and it has become our vacation spot. I haven’t been in a few years and I miss it a lot! Your photos remind me of the drive down the US 1, all of the bridges and the clear water!
what a lovely time you had. I love family time.

What a perfect weekend and it looks like the weather was good to you as well.
I love pontoon boats. They provide space and shade but here in Miami you never get to rent them. Guess we have to head west. Thank you for the review.
The kids looked like they had a great time! What a nice idea for a beautiful summer day. I’ve been on a yaht and a dolphin tour boat, but never out on a boat for the day. This looks like a great idea.
We reallllllly want to do a yaht one day!! What was that experience like??
There’s nothing like a day on the water to create special memories! Boca Grande & Gasparilla have amazing beaches!
I know, right?!? We love it there! We get to visit Boca Grande quite often because my mom works there- we love it!
Happy 60th mom and dad. You guys looked like you had a blast. Great to see the kids enjoying it too.
My family would love to do this! What a fun day!
Oh wow the Pontoon boat looks amazing, everything from the photography to the experience is just breathtaking. I am glad the staff were friendly as well x
Yes!! It was wonderful all around!
What a blast of a day! I haven’t been out on a boat in ages. I may need to remedy that soon!

That looked like a lot of fun. I cant believe that at my age I having been boating! I have to take my girls, someday. XO
This looks like such a fun day with your family! I want to go out on the water this summer since I’ve never been on a boat (sad, I know). But I need to do it!
Awe, we used to go when we were kids but there was definitely a 15 or so year time lapse there, so I understand!
This looks like a lot of fun. We haven’t been boating in forever.
I think it’s great that your parents got to celebrate their 60th birthdays together. You couldn’t have chosen a better destination to kick off all the festivities.
Thanks! It was a lot of fun and VERY convenient that we could combine the festivities 🙂
The water scares me so I’m not sure how I would do out on a boat all day. But it seems like y’all had fun and that’s what matters! Happy Birthday to them!
I miss boating! My family and I’d go boating all of the time when I was a child.
Wow, it looks like you all had a ton of fun! My family was thinking about renting a boat for a day this summer. After reading your experience, I definitely want to push them to try it out!
You are so lucky to have spent a day on the water! This is my best leisure ever!
Congratulations to your parents’ 60th birthdays! Your little guy does look very cute in this life jacket.
Haha thanks! His little cheeks were puffed out because of it making him very squeezable!
A day at sea sounds heavenly! We love spending the day boating. There’s something so relaxing about being on the water.
Thanks! It was a lot of fun!
Aww man this takes me back to our last boat trip, Hawaii 2015! Sheesh what I’d give to be back there right now!
This looks so fun! I hope your parents had an awesome birthday and it looks like ya’ll had a blast!
I so love to go boating. I am fortunate that my dad lives in southeast florida and he has a boat so any time I am down there, we get to go out. Hoping to be there next month 😉
Beautiful moments captured with lovely pictures! I always mean to journal my memories ! You’ve done it with style ! I enjoyed your write up, kind of like a recommendation with a story !
Good for you! Cherish your parents because life is short. I wish I had my parents here now
Thanks for such a nice post, it’s really informational:-)
There is no better way of experiencing a feeling of being in paradise than to be out in the ocean with breathtaking surroundings and exquisite scenery all around you. This is the perfect relaxation by absorbing all the scenic beauty that is around you.
