When we brought our first baby home from the hospital my hubby was all, “ummmm….why doesn’t she want to play?”
Well, dear, she doesn’t know how. She doesn’t even know how to move yet.
Seriously, ya’ll. He really thought she was coming home to play ball or Chutes & Ladders and for the first couple months there was none of that going one. Oh, who am I kidding? We didn’t break out Chutes & Ladders until she was three.
Then she started moving and I was in need of some ideas of things to do with a baby…because again, you can’t play Chutes & Ladders with a baby. It doesn’t work!
So I researched some fun activities for babies and I thought I would share them with you!
So here we go! Check out these 30 fun and creative baby activities for the first year….

How fun are these?!?
My sweet boy loves playing now that he is up and moving. AND now that he is up and moving, I need the best diaper protection that there is. We love Huggies® Little Movers. They are SO good for babies who are learning to be on the go. From rolling over to crawling to now walking…yes, walking, these diapers do not leak. They are awesome. I go to Sam’s Club to buy ours because you get bonus diapers for a greater value plus we just love Sam’s Club.
Oh, and Sam’s Club is giving you the opportunity to win $500. Yep, you heard me right. Click here and upload a picture of your moving baby to be entered to win a $500 gift card.
This post was inspired by the Mom Explores Book Club book this week: A Baby Is Born by Melanie Zanoza Bartelme. It’s seriously one of our favorite books about babies. It takes you through sweet pictures of baby animals being born in different areas around the world.
