We love to party at our house. Or as we like to say, “Par-Tay!” Before kids we used to have themed parties, Halloween parties, dinner parties, birthday parties, and more….then we had Maggie and I honestly can’t tell you the last time we had a party at our house, or attended one for that matter.
So, one of my (many) New Years resolutions for 2015 was to be more relational and spend more time with my friends. I am starting that resolution off on the right foot by having some friends that I work with in our KidzTown at church and their little girls over for a Valentines Day Tea Party.
It’s not a huge deal. Not a lot of people. Just a few friends with a few snacks. I figured we would start small and work our way back into a groove with having friends over.
I started looking for ideas on Pinterest for this Valentines Day Tea Party and started pinning and pinning and pinning….
And then I felt overwhelmed with all the ideas I had.
Ever feel like that? You have to decide what food you are going to do, what decorations, who to invite, what games, and it all seems like too much. Plus, then you get on Pinterest and find a PLETHORA of ideas that are adorable and you want to do them all and it just gets out of hand.
So, I came up with a couple party planning sheets to help me keep my ideas prioritized and to help keep me organized!
This first sheet is to help you (and me) make a list of food and drinks that you want to serve at your party which will help you figure out what you need to buy at the store. There is also room to write a list of games you want to play and decorations you may need. This second sheet is to help you remember who is and is not coming to your party. When you see it on paper, it helps you remember because lets face it, we have a lot going on it our heads! It’s sometimes better to write it down so we don’t forget. And of course, a To-Do list for you to jot down things you still need to do before the big day!
